The Rama pharmaceutical production machinery line is a unique system that aims at ‘zero waste’ completely in GMP pharmaceutical production. A unique feature of the Rama machinery line is that each machine is available in a 15 liter research and development size. This allows for easy and economic research and development and easy scale up of your production. With the exception of exhaust air filtration and handling, each Rama machine is a self-contained unit and requires no ‘technical’ or services area. All of the Rama machines use electricity as a heating source, thus eliminating the need for steam heat generator start up and shut down procedures and required qualified personnel associated with these.

The high speed mixer/granulator allows for wet massing within 15 minutes with a similar or less time required for granulating, offering the ability of producing two batches of the same product per hour. This machine comes with a CIP (clean in place) system as a standard feature along with a PLC touch screen monitor compatible with the other Rama production machines.

The Rama fluid bed drier comes complete with an inlet air filtration unit to 40 microns particle size, thus conforming to common GMP standards. This unit comes with 2 sets of drying bowls thus allowing you to dry one bowl while charging the other from the granulator or sending it to the dry blender. This streamlines production and eliminates double handling of product and reducing the possibility of cross contamination. This unit has an available CIP system and available top spray. The Rama fluid bed has an aluminum venting port in the unlikely event of an explosion. It also comes with an integrated silencer and automatic filter bag shaker. The innovative Rama dry granulator/blender maintains the concept of 'Zero Waste' by being completely enclosed. This unique blender automatically receives the bowl from the fluid bed dryer and, using a unique cover, charges the powder through the dry granulator and then into the dry blender for final mixing. The dry blender also allows for the incorporation of any dry external ingredients and lubricants required in the formula as well as allowing for any liquid ingredient addition to the final mix. With the dry blender, as with the other Rama machines, the PLC touch screen monitor is fully compatible.

The Rama NRT tabletting machine is a versatile tablet compaction machine which is available with 'B', 'BB', 'D' or 'RU' tablet tooling. The Rama NRT machine offers high speed tablet production with this variety of tablet tooling options comparable or better than most other tabletting machine manufacturers. Each unit comes with PLC controlled tablet weight monitoring and ejection software as well as with a tablet deduster unit. The PLC touch screen control offers a variety of production controls and options. The NRT Rama also includes an automatic low hopper fill monitoring device which sounds an alarm and stops the machine in the event of low powder feed. The NRT Rama has a precompression feature, hydro-pneumatic pressure overload protection, force feeder and GMP hood with safety switch system offering completely GMP production and operator protection.

The Rama Cota tablet aqueous film coating machine is known the world over as a workhorse tablet film coater complying with all international safety and GMP norms. As with all of the Rama units, the Rama Cota comes with a PLC touch screen monitor which is completely user friendly. The Rama Cota is a unique design "all in one box" unit which offers tremendous versatility for installation, operation and maintenance. The Rama Cota comes virtually complete as a 'turn key' unit including peristaltic pump and spray guns. The available pneumatic mixing tank, tablet discharge device and cyclone filter/deduster are the few options available. In addition, the Rama Cota can be ordered with the available removable perforated plate option which allows for coating of microspheres, beads or powders.
